Project Manager / Client Services Manager, San Francisco Bay Area

We are seeking an experience Senior Environmental Scientist / CEQA/NEPA Specialist to act as the Project Manager / Client Services Manager for a portfolio of energy, water and development related projects throughout California.

The ideal individual would have at least 8 years experience acting as a Project Manager and/or Client Services Manager overseeing and managing CEQA/NEPA compliance and permitting projects related to traditional and renewable energy (wind, geothermal, and transmission lines), water, and infrastructure development. Must have previous experience in managing projects with scopes of work $500,000+, managing multi-disciplinary personnel, developing proposals, scopes of work, and conducting business development and client relationship activities for the organization.

Requires a degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Planning or related discipline. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and desire to work on challenging and diverse regulatory compliance, mitigation monitoring and permitting projects.

Job Description
The Project Manager/Environmental Planner will manage and write the environmental review for a variety of complex development and infrastructure projects, such as: residential, commercial and industrial projects; highway widenings and interchanges; water and sanitary systems; urban redevelopment and revitalization; zonings; master plans; and General Plan Amendments. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with clients and agency staffs, gathering and compiling project and site information, managing subconsultants, and preparing environmental reports to comply with CEQA and NEPA. The Project Manager is also responsible for proposal preparation, maintaining budgets and meeting deadlines. Must be able to prepare complex technical sections and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Qualifications
5 years managing and preparing CEQA/NEPA documents. Must have excellent organizational, analytical and writing skills. Strong working knowledge of substantive and procedural requirements of CEQA is essential. Must be able to direct others’ work, interpret and convey quantitative results, and think critically.
